About:

Our client is hiring an experienced CNC Mill Machinist who can independently set up, program, and run jobs with minimal supervision. This is a high-responsibility role for someone who takes ownership of their work and wants to be a key contributor in a growing shop.

We are a family-owned machine shop (est. 1971) focused on quality, efficiency, and long-term team members. If you're looking for a place where your skills matter and your input improves the process - this is it.

What You'll Do

  • Perform complete, independent CNC mill setups

  • Program, edit, and optimize jobs using Mastercam

  • Take jobs from print → program → setup → production

  • Read prints including tight tolerances and GD&T

  • Select tooling, speeds/feeds, and machining strategies

  • Prove out jobs and ensure repeatability and efficiency

  • Troubleshoot machining and quality issues independently

  • Perform in-process and final inspection

Process & Leadership Expectations

  • Identify and implement process improvements

  • Improve cycle times, tooling performance, and consistency

  • Help develop setup sheets and standardized processes

  • Mentor and support less experienced machinists

  • Contribute to overall shop efficiency and throughput

What We're Looking For

  • 3-7+ years CNC milling experience

  • Proven ability to perform independent setups

  • Strong Mastercam programming experience (required)

  • Solid understanding of tooling, materials, and machining strategy

  • Ability to read prints and understand GD&T

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Organized, self-driven, and accountable
