You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.

How you will contribute

You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

TheMachine Operatorunder the direction of theLine Leaderis responsibleforusing theappropriate packagingequipment (i.e.wrapper, robot, cartoner, bagger) to complete the packaging of theproduct.

Must take direction fromLine Leader,Line Manager, or Operations Manager regarding any reasonable requirement not specified in the above description for the purpose of achieving manufacturing goals, qualitystandardsand safety requirements.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

1. Machine Operating skills

  • Able to accurately follow a DPS and troubleshoot wrappers, cartoners, robots and baggers
  • Able to accurately complete paperwork
  • Is capable of liftingrolls of film (at leastaverage 10kg) and paper rolls and cases of cartons
  • Pays attention and is aware of the machine's operation and its effect on the package
  • Understands theinner-workingof the machine and all the settings and how they affect the final package
  • Must be able toidentifyand troubleshoot issues and communicate issues accurately to the Maintenance team for prompt repair or preventing a breakdown
  • Comfortably use digital controllers
  • Comfortable testing seals and other points to ensure package integrity (by hand and usingequip.)
  • Is adaptable and can learn new tasks

2. Ability to work in teams

5. IL6S:

  • Be familiar with Integrated Lean Six Sigma (IL6S) Concepts, CBN, tools,systemsand work processes.

Salary and Benefits:The expected annualized salary range for this position is $49,1050.00 to $68,757.00 CAD depending on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus program with a target of 5%with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results, and potential shift premiums and / or overtime.
