Major League Baseball is looking for an Event Ticketing & Financial Analyst in the Global Operations & Events department to manage essential financial operations, including processing orders, generating invoices, and reconciling and forecasting seasonal ticket and jewel event ticket usage. Acting as a liaison to the Finance department, the analyst will oversee financial reporting for events and proactively refine operational standards. This multi-faceted role also supports the team by assisting the MLB Season Ticket and employee ticket programs, providing necessary administrative support and high-level customer service for internal stakeholders and inventory distribution for MLB jewel events. Please note this is a hybrid position with on-site training.
Responsibilities
- Build patron accounts, fulfill and distribute ticket inventory using internal ticketing programs, the Requestix system, and the Ballpark App
- Manage month-end reporting, create Microsoft Excel pivot tables, prepare financial reconciliations, and handle billing/invoicing for internal departments and external groups accurately and timely
- Oversee the compilation of financial documents and reporting for Global Events, including budget forecasting items for the Finance department
- Deliver high-level customer service and troubleshoot ticketing issues for internal employees regarding both business and personal ticket requests
- Assist with the daily operations of the Employee Ticket and Today's Tickets programs, while providing ad-hoc administrative and operational support for MLB jewel events
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one to three years relevant work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Professional demeanor, self-starter, organized with a strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills, technical accounting proficiency, effective problem-solving skills and strong ability to interpret accounting information/reports
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Experience with ticketing programs such as Archtics or ProVenue is highly preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Flexibility to work irregular hours on game days and weekends as needed
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
