To succeed in an LTL (Less Than Truckload) Freight role, you need strong organizational skills, knowledge of freight handling procedures, and usually a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), barcode scanners, and forklift operation certifications are commonly required in the industry. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure are valuable soft skills. What are the typical daily responsibilities of someone working in LTL Freight?

In an LTL Freight role, your daily tasks often include sorting and consolidating shipments, loading and unloading freight, verifying shipping documents, and operating warehouse equipment like forklifts.
