Job description

As a Shipping Dispatcher at FLSmidth Inc., you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the daily outbound shipment of goods, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers while maintaining efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

Plan, schedule, and dispatch outbound shipments, including truckloads, LTL, and international freight, ensuring compliance with all shipping regulations and customer requirements.
Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouses, sales teams, and customers regarding shipment status, potential delays, and delivery arrangements.
Utilize and maintain transportation management systems (TMS) and other software to track shipments, generate shipping documents, and manage inventory.
Monitor and resolve any shipping discrepancies, damages, or issues that may arise, escalating complex problems to management as needed.
Ensure all necessary customs documentation is prepared accurately and submitted on time for international shipments.
Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities, including dispatch logs, delivery confirmations, and freight invoices.
Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure products are picked, packed, and loaded efficiently and safely.
Implement and adhere to FLSmidth Inc.'s safety policies and procedures throughout all shipping operations.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance shipping processes and reduce operational costs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
