Shipper/Dispatcher

Job Description

Orchestrates the process of building orders, loading trucks and routing customer deliveries by performing the following duties Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Distributes work to subordinates.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Uses company software to enter records, invoice tickets, assemble driver manifests, receive/enter transfers, and reconcile driver reports.
  • Utilizes dispatch software effectively and efficiently put together driver delivery routes.
