SAS has an opening for a Shipping & Picking Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee all shipping & order pulling employees to ensure all orders are processed in an efficient & safe manner
  • Work with management to develop short & long term strategies for the warehouse.
  • Communicate with Order Puller & Shipping Leads regularly to understand the status of warehouse operations & to provide guidance & direction.
  • Create & develop written procedures & training materials for the warehouse.
  • Coordinate & communicate with other department supervisors to identify & resolve operational issues.
  • Monitor all shipping functions & report concerns to warehouse manager
  • Assist in managing employee hours to stay in compliance of company standards.
  • Involved in all aspects of inventory control to achieve company goals
  • Assesses efficiency & performance of shipping and order pulling activities; identifies & recommends improvements to shift, department, & facility
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Order & maintain supplies to sufficient levels & monitor consumer use
  • Attend regular meetings
  • Create employee credentials as needed
  • Assist & help direct all departments within the distribution center.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel).
  • Experience with ERP in a warehouse environment is required. (Microsoft Dynamics 365 or AX is a plus).
    • Learn and understand the new ERP system in order to develop efficient and effective processes for warehousing and material handling.
    • Work with management and outside consultants to help coordinate the setup and operations of the new ERP system.
  • Experience with shipping software.
  • Experience with training & writing training documents.
  • Experience with stocking, receiving, picking, & shipping.
  • Fluent in conversational Spanish is very helpful, but not a job requirement
