-Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Instructor
About Us: Founded in 2013, Ideal School is fully licensed by the Department of Education, Nurse Owned and Operated school. We currently offer 12 curricula from Medical assistant, Nursing Assistant, just to name a few.
JOB DESCRIPTION: A RN-Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Instructor is a healthcare professional who educates students in the fundamentals of nursing and prepares them to become licensed practical nurses. In this position, the LPN Instructor evaluates the student's skills and abilities and implements an instructional plan to meet their educational objectives. The LPN Instructor monitors the class and provides feedback to students to ensure they are meeting program objectives and standards. The instructor also evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of students and designs instructional strategies to address their needs. Additionally, the LPN Instructor may create and maintain a learning environment conducive to the success of their students. The instructor must cultivate a professional relationship with students and maintain high standards of professionalism, discipline and respect in the classroom. Other tasks may be assigned such as developing curriculum and relevancy assessment for their programs.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Masters degree in nursing ( BSN and enrolled in a MSN program may be accepted)
- Current state license in good standing (NY).
-A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in a classroom setting.
-A minimum of 5 years work experience as a Registered Nurse.
-Excellent communication and instructional skills. Ability to coordinate, plan, direct and evaluate activities and programs.
-Ability to manage student behavior and learning.
-A broad knowledge in classroom instruction and teaching methods.
-Computer proficiency in applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of ATI is a plus.
Schedule :
  • FT available - Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm

Salary: $50.00-$55.00 an hour.
