Job Summary:
As Loss Prevention Supervisor, you are to inspire and to mentor the employees from Loss Prevention department. This includes coaching and counseling on all areas such as staffing-resources-operational and floor covering needs to achieve the hotel standards and ensure a safe environment for all guests and employees. As a supervisor, you should comply with all hotel policies and ensure that all your employees follow all hotel standards and policies
Physical Requirements:
  • Standing/Walking: 8 hours. Inside and out of the hotel. cement, tile, and carpet.
  • Crouching (Bend at knees): Frequently.
  • Stooping (bend at waist): Constantly. Getting packages, and other guest belongings.
  • Twisting (knees/waist/neck): Constantly. When working with several people at once; watching for guests; checking for Vbar patrons and in-house guests.
  • Reaching (overhead/extension): Constantly. When reacting to any incident in the related with evicting hotel guests.
  • Handling/Grasping: Constantly. Handling packages, parcel, hotel supplies, grasping pens, telephones, and reports.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Average weight frequently 10 lbs. Maximum weight occasionally 50 lbs.
  • Lifting/Carrying: Average weight frequently 10 lbs. Maximum weight occasionally 50 lbs

Working Environment:
  • Interior and exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions

Administration:
  • Daily pre shift meeting - communicate any special events, guests, group or duties to all Loss Prevention agents.
  • Staffing / scheduling weekly. Report any Time request off to Manager on Duty.
  • Interview, train, supervise and coach Loss Prevention employees.
  • Authorize or deny Time Request off based on Hotel Operational needs.
  • Plan and execute Monthly meetings and report meeting minutes to F & B director.
  • Report any concerns/ challenges with Loss Prevention staff to F&B Director.
  • Assist F&B Director or Manager on duty in the evaluation process for all Loss Prevention employees.

Responsibilities:
  • Daily position assignment to Loss Prevention employees in hotel control points.
  • Ensure all opening, operational and closing duties by Loss Prevention employees are met in daily basis.
  • Enforcement of the A.B.C. laws and health department laws by Employees and guests
  • Notify any violation to Manager on duty.
  • Notify F&B manager on duty of any supplies needs to maintain communication between Loss Prevention Agents such as Radios, earpieces, flashlight, name tags etc. and requests to purchase accordingly to ensure proper communication.
  • Inspect all areas where a Loss Prevention employee has been assigned and keep accountability of their position to guarantee proper reaction to any incident with Hotel guests.(every 30 minutes).
  • Communicate with F&B Director of any special guest in house and keep information related confidential.
  • Meet all deadlines during the V-bar operation such as: V-bar balcony, Courtyard, Noise disturbance, guest complaints, guest evictions, Reporting and representation of the Hotel in any legal matter is requested by the Hotel.
  • Maintain all equipment in excellent conditions.
  • Maintain Public areas and courtyard tables appearances as shown.
  • Inspect opening and closing duties and daily check list for security employees.
  • Ensure all areas of the Hotel are patrolled by Loss Prevention officers.
  • Inspect all banquet rooms and storage to ensure all areas are locked after banquet events end.
  • Report any hazardous element or guest behavior to minimize chances of accidents or liability issues.

  • Hotel Operations, Customer Service, Loss Prevention and Security experience preferred
