Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary

Chisholm School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Long-Term Substitute Elementary Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will create a positive learning environment, deliver differentiated instruction, and collaborate with staff and families to ensure student success.

Individuals who will be student teaching are eligible and encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:            

  1. Minnesota Special Education Licensure
  2. ABS, ASD, EBD preferred but not required
  3. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  4. Ability to adapt instruction to meet varied needs

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Provide specialized instruction according to students' IEPs
  2. Modify curriculum and assessments to meet individual learning needs
  3. Manage and track student progress and behavior data
  4. Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
  5. Participate in IEP meetings as needed
  6. Manage all Special Ed paperwork
  7. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
