Job Title: Temporary Long-Term Substitute Teacher
Position Summary
The Temporary Long-Term Substitute Teacher is responsible for providing instructional continuity during the extended absence of a regular classroom teacher. This position is temporary in nature and assigned for a defined period or until the return of the regular teacher. The substitute will assume full classroom responsibilities, including lesson delivery, classroom management, and student assessment, in alignment with school curriculum and policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver instruction based on established curriculum, lesson plans, or departmental guidance
  • Manage classroom environment, including student behavior and engagement
  • Maintain attendance records and other required documentation
  • Grade assignments, quizzes, and assessments as directed
  • Monitor and report student progress to school leadership or department chairs
  • Communicate professionally with students, staff, and administrators
  • Implement school policies, procedures, and instructional expectations
  • Attend staff meetings or training sessions as required by administration
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
  • Perform other instructional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education

Experience
