V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Senior Logistics Engineer to join our team! 

V2X Engineering Solutions is seeking a Senior Logistics Engineer to join our Whole Life Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN. The Senior Logistics Engineer responsibilities will include the oversite and management of the maintenance, repairs, spares, logistical parts tracking and movement of customer assets as part of the sustainment of a Navy Environmental Satellite Receiver Program and the development of Logistic Development Plans (LDP). 

The Senior Logistics Engineer activities may include analyzing technical data and reports to determine spares and support equipment provisioning requirements, reviewing spare and equipment depletion data and analysis to provide recommendations for spare/repair parts and support equipment, managing and controlling location of assets, allocation of customer inventories and other related Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), monitoring inventory and material allocations for accuracy, generating inventory reports on stock usage, location changes and returned materials, and prepare and maintain required Naval forms, records, correspondence and reports in support of the program.

This position is in Indianapolis, IN and requires onsite support.  Current business direction is for employees to be on site 3 days a week, but that is subject to change as business needs change and at times program needs may require more than 3 days on site.

This team’s primary location is in Indianapolis, IN.  Travel to customer locations is expected to be up to 10% of the time.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) degree preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of logistics engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 12 years of government logistics experience required with a high school diploma
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Knowledge and experience of generating Logistics Development Plans (LDP) in accordance with MIL-HDBK-502 and GEIA-STD-007.
  • Knowledge and experience with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements that include reliability, maintainability and maintenance planning, obsolescence tracking, support planning in the areas of spares and repairs, training support, and technical manual development.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to manage and provide direction to supporting life cycle engineering personnel
  • Experience performing Logistics engineering including design and modeling for equipment and management of storage and shipping in response to customer needs in accordance with DoD or equivalent industry standards or practices.
  • Familiarity with Power Log J and other logistics analysis and component obsolescence tools.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of government proposal process
  • Familiarity with Reliability and Availability analysis and with reliability prediction tools like ReliaSoft or equivalent.
  • Experience implementing and tracking Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS)and obsolescence programs in accordance with DoD SD-22.
