About the Role

The Account Manager II is responsible for providing a best-in-class customer experience specific to our intermodal division, serving as the first line of contact for our customers. They are responsible for ensuring all intermodal freight is serviced to meet/exceed the customer's standards, while also communicating customer needs and changes to the operations teams. They are expected to develop and maintain customer and carrier relationships, while achieving company defined operational metrics.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Contact intermodal carrier to obtain status of load tendered; continue monitoring the shipment status and updating in the system, then notifying the shipper and/or Receiver and rescheduling when necessary
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with intermodal clients, carriers, shippers and receivers through professional and timely communications and inquiry responses
  • Correspond with customer and carrier regarding any accessorial information
  • Maintain current customer rates in the Transportation Management System
  • Manage accounts receivable within specified guidelines and handle day-to-day activities such as tracking, tracing and communications
  • Responsible for confirming billing information is accurate and ready for invoicing

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years of related experience working with intermodal shipments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Transportation/Logistics experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Tools
  • Prior 3PL experience

California: The target salary for the position is between $51,000- $67,000 base salary
