Wellness Solutions Geriatrics is the Southeast's premier provider of medical, psychiatric and other support services to patients in long term care facilities as well as in-patient hospitals, assisted living facilities, and independent living homes.  Our physicians, nurse practitioners, physicians' assistants, psychologists and licensed clinical social workers provide a unique state-of-the-art level of care to the geriatric population developed over many years with input from facility administration, geriatric experts, as well as caring and concerned families.  Our holistic, patient-centered suite of services is designed to comfort and address the underlying root causes of our patients' behavioral, medical and other needs.  Our caring professionals have extensive experience in meeting the challenging health care needs of the elderly population.

Job Description

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) Responsibilities

  • Psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment recommendations
  • Cognitive and executive function testing
  • Documentation of treatment goals and response to treatment
  • Psychotropic medication management
  • Document appropriate diagnosis for psychotropic medication use.
  • Assess and reduce polypharmacy issues
  • Provide behavioral recommendations
  • Obtain informed consent on all psychotropic medications prescribed

Our provider compensation system is incentive based and rewards providers who practice as guided by CMS. Compensation rate is based on location of services provided and level of experience. Employees are paid during training, which can range from 3-6 weeks depending on employee experience.

Our full-time employee benefits package includes:

  • Paid medical malpractice insurance & paid workers compensation insurance
  • 6 paid holidays per year
  • 5 paid days off accrued every six months
  • 1 paid day to use for CEU completion per year (after the first year of full-time employment)

Qualified candidates meet the following requirements:

  • Masters of Science in Nursing
  • RN and APN licenses in KY (non-KY licensees will need to apply for and obtain KY licensure)
  • Board certification
  • PMHNP or NP with psych experience (required)
  • Long-term care or Geriatric experience
  • DEA license (not required for application, but must be obtained before hired)
