Our Nurse Practitioners, Physician's Assistants, Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Licensed Clinical Social Workers work in close collaboration with the medical and nursing staff of our Long-Term Care facilities to provide the highest level of personalized health care services during on-site visits. Our caring professionals have extensive experience in meeting the challenging health care needs of the elderly population.
Job Description
Wellness Solutions Geriatrics has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Prectitioner/Physician Assistant with psych experience with interest to provide psychiatric services in the Warner Robins, Macon and Columbus, GA area. This will be a full-time position.
You will be working in close collaboration with the interprofessional team at our LTC facilities providing on-site care. If you are looking for a position which offers you flexibility and a work/life balance within a family-owned organization, then this might be the perfect fit for you. WSG will provide you with training and support so that you can work more autonomously.
Responsibilities
  • Psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment recommendations
  • Cognitive and executive function testing
  • Documentation of treatment goals and response to treatment
  • Psychotropic medication management
  • Document appropriate diagnosis for psychotropic medication use.
  • Assess and reduce polypharmacy issues
  • Provide behavioral recommendations
  • Obtain informed consent on all psychotropic medications prescribed

Compensation
Our provider compensation system is incentive based and rewards providers who practice as guided by CMS. Compensation rate is based on location of services provided and level of experience. Employees are paid during training, which can range from 3-6 weeks depending on employee experience.
Our full-time employee benefits package includes:
  • Paid health and dental insurance
  • Paid medical malpractice insurance & paid workers compensation insurance
  • 6 paid holidays per year
  • 5 paid days off accrued every six months
  • 1 paid day to use for CEU completion per year (after the first year of full-time employment)

Qualifications
Qualified candidates meet the following requirements:
  • Masters in Physician Assistant Studies
  • Masters of Science in Nursing
  • RN and APN licenses in GA
  • Psych experience
  • Long-term care or Geriatric experience
