Verge Psychological Assessment Center - Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology Job Description

The Verge Psychological Assessment Center at Kinghaven Counseling LLC is recruiting for our Postdoctoral Fellowship program in Clinical Psychology, this is a one-year training program. As the 2nd largest provider of mental health services in the state of Texas, Psychology Fellows provide quality psychological evaluation, including testing services to all age groups. Our Postdoctoral Fellows are provided clinical supervision and mentorship throughout their training program. Verge Psychological Assessment Center is located at all our Kinghaven Branch Locations in Houston and the surrounding area.

Primary Responsibilities

- Develops understanding and skills to allow for completion of assignments across specialization.

- Gain expertise in the following:

- Neurodevelopmental evaluations

- Psychological assessments or comprehensive diagnostic assessments

- Psychoeducational assessments

- Neuropsychological assessments

- Longitudinal psychological assessments (yearly evaluations)

- Develop leadership and management skills.

- Complete written reports within 2 weeks utilizing our assessment reporting software. Adhere to company policy regarding Complete reports within 2 weeks time frame.

- Work in a multidisciplinary therapeutics’ environment using multiple treatment approaches and modalities and collaborate with other licensed professionals.

Fellows completing the program successfully will attain competencies at the beginning licensure level in Evidence Based Practice including:

- Assessment - instrument selection, administration and scoring, interpretation of test and proficiently communication of the results, both orally and in written reports.

- Intervention - case consultation, case conceptualization and evaluation of interventions.

- Supervision- theories and methods of supervision and effective provision of supervision.

- Ethical and Legal Standards- knowledge and adherence of ethical, legal and professional standards and ethical decision-making abilities.

Educational Requirements

Our program is open to Fellows with a PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology and who have completed a predoctoral internship prior to beginning this postdoctoral fellowship.
