Overview

The Licensed Psychologist โ€“ Psychological Assessment is a clinical position focused on the evaluation, interpretation, and integration of psychological testing data to support accurate diagnosis and clinical clarity. Reporting directly to the Associate Medical Director, this role is designed for psychologists who specialize in assessment work and prefer a structured, sustainable clinical model without ongoing psychotherapy responsibilities. This role is ideal for psychologists who enjoy assessment work and want a structured, sustainable alternative to private practice without longโ€‘term therapy caseloads.

Compensation

The pay range for this role isย $125,000 to $150,000

Productivity expectations are guided by a work Relative Value Unit (wRVU) framework that reflects the full scope of assessment work, including diagnostic oversight, report review, and feedback sessions. Productivity is measured by completed cases rather than timeโ€‘based tracking.

Role and Responsibilities

The Licensed Psychologist supports Mindful Pathsโ€™ psychological testing services by providing expert diagnostic formulation, clinical oversight, and patient feedback within a highly supported, team-based model.

  • Clinical Caseload:ย Complete an average of 15 to 16 psychological testing cases per week. Each case includes clinical review, diagnostic formulation, report approval, and delivery of feedback.
  • Intake Review:ย Review Intake evaluations completed by Licensed Clinicians and approve recommended psychological and neuropsychological assessments prior to testing.
  • Assessment Interpretation:ย Interpret psychological, neuropsychological, and cognitive testing results administered and scored by trained psychometrists.
  • Diagnostic Formulation:ย Integrate testing data, clinical interviews, background history, and collateral information to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations.
  • Report Review and Sign Off:ย Review, edit as needed, and provide final clinical sign off on comprehensive psychological evaluation reports drafted by experienced report writers.
  • Feedback Sessions:ย Conduct clear, supportive feedback sessions with patients and families to explain results, diagnoses, and recommendations.
  • Clinical Collaboration:ย Collaborate with psychometrists, report support staff, patient care coordinators, and clinical leadership to ensure clinical accuracy, efficiency, and continuity of care.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with licensing, ethical, and regulatory standards.
  • Administrative Support:ย Approximately five hours per week are allocated for meetings, administrative tasks, coordination, and breaks.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Education: PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active Massachusetts Psychologist license in good standing.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple assessments efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Technological Proficiency: Comfort working within electronic health records and telehealth systems.
  • 3+ years of post-licensure experience or 4-6 years total clinical experience, including postdoc experience.
