FLORIDA Fully Licensed Psychologists WELCOME
Centurion of Florida is proud to be the provider of mental health services to the Florida Department of Corrections.
We are seeking a full-time Inpatient Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Zephyrhills Correctional Institution located in Zephyrhills, Florida, just outside of Tampa, Florida. This is a male correctional institution providing inpatient and outpatient mental health services.
The setting provides the opportunity to work closely with patients presenting complex medical and mental health needs within a multidisciplinary treatment environment.
The Psychologist provides psychological leadership, consultation and direct services for patients in an assigned facility. The Psychologist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in providing assessment and treatment of mental and emotional disorders of patients.
Zephyrhills Correctional Institution hosts an APA-accredited Pre-Doctoral Internship and Post-Doctoral Residency program. As the inpatient psychologist, you will have the opportunity to provide clinical supervision to both interns and residents assigned to the inpatient mental health rotation. In addition, the psychologist may participate in didactic training seminars and weekly group supervision, contributing to the development of future psychologists within a structured training program.
  • Must hold PsyD or PhD from a US APA accredited university program
  • Must have successfully completed post-doc requirements
  • Fully licensed in Florida as a Clinical Psychologist
  • 5 years of experience working as a psychologist in an inpatient or locked setting
  • Supervisory experience and willingness to supervise is required
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Must be able to pass credentialing and background check
  • Work legally in the United States without sponsorship
