Description:

This Pilot Training System Engineer position will be a member of a multi-disciplinary engineering team consisting of architects, designers, integrators, software programmers and suppliers associated with F-35 Training Systems. The candidate will be responsible for working with senior design architect and the suppliers that manufacture the various Pilot Training Devices (PTD). Candidate will be required to work with the mission system sensor groups to determine the training requirement for each new sensor capability. This position will be responsible to ensuring the PTD designs are documented and decomposed into training level requirements. The candidate will be responsible for providing design and requirement status thru the life cycle of the requirements. The candidate will be expected to be knowledgeable with both development and sustainment activities associated with the F-35 PTDs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline from an accredited college.
  • Experience in developing and executing technical plans or roadmaps.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience or basic working knowledge of Training Systems and/or Simulation Products.
  • Basic understanding of principles of Infrared (IR) and/or - Radio Frequency (RF) systems.
  • Basic working knowledge of avionics subsystems (radar/EW/CNI/displays). Technical and/or Project Leadership experience.
  • Experience in any of the following areas: Requirements, Design, Integration, Validation.
  • Any programming experience with an emphasis on MATLAB.
  • Experience working in an integration laboratory.

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
