What is local printing?

Local printing refers to the process of producing printed materials, such as documents, flyers, posters, or business cards, at a printing facility located near your home or business. Local print shops offer personalized service, quicker turnaround times, and the opportunity to review proofs in person. Choosing local printing can also support small businesses in your community and reduce shipping costs and delivery times.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a local printing specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Local Printing Specialist, you need strong attention to detail, knowledge of print production processes, and familiarity with different paper types and finishes, often supported by a high school diploma or vocational training. Job description

Basset Specialties is a family-owned small business searching for an experienced Screen-Printing Press Operator to help us run our six-color automatic, and five-color manual, M&R presses.
We are looking for the ideal candidate to master our printing process. This individual should be motivated, accountable and have an attention to detail.  The person in this position will be expected to efficiently print thousands of garments per week. Last year, Basset Specialties printed nearly 50,000 garments for local firefighters, police, colleges, and much more.

Artistic skills are considered a plus too!

Starting salary is $17.00 an hour, but that’s negotiable based on prior experience.
