Building Design & Print Specialist

Alpha Building Center is seeking a creative, customer-focused professional to join our team as a Building Design & Print Specialist. This unique hybrid role combines architectural design, customer consultation, and print production. If you enjoy bringing building concepts to life, working directly with customers, and utilizing modern design technology, we would love to hear from you.
Position Summary
As a Building Design & Print Specialist, you will create detailed building plans and renderings for a variety of agricultural and residential projects while guiding customers through the design and material selection process. This role provides the opportunity to build strong community relationships by working closely with customers, contractors, and internal departments to ensure every project meets expectations from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed architectural drawings and building plans from customer ideas, sketches, and project requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive print packages including: Floor plansย 
    • Floor Plans
    • Elevationsย 
    • Section cutsย 
    • Interior and exterior renderingsย 
  • Guide customers through the building design process.
  • Assist customers with product and material selections.
  • Collaborate with contractors and customers to ensure designs align with project needs and expectations.
  • Update plans and prints based on project changes and customer requests.
  • Conduct virtual building tours using VR technology and provide headset usage instruction.
  • Operate a large-format printer for printing, copying, and scanning projects.
  • Support print-related needs for various departments within the company.
  • Lead customer meetings and communicate project progress effectively.
Preferred Experience

  • 1+ year of construction experience
  • 1+ year using SketchUp and/or CAD software
  • 1+ year using Enscape
  • 1+ year using Microsoft Excel
  • 1+ year using Microsoft Outlook
  • Experience with VR headsets
  • Experience operating large-format printers
Qualifications

  • Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to confidently lead meetings with customers.
  • Experience reading and interpreting detailed floor plans.
  • Experience creating detailed floor plans and building layouts.
  • Ability to learn and apply product knowledge to provide recommendations to customers.
  • Ability to operate and maintain a large-format printer.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Availability to work weekdays until 4:30 PM.
