Job description

Position Description: Manage, plan, and implement Off Site Manufacturing (OSM), offsite construction, and prefabrication solutions across xPL Offsite, Business Units, and Market Segment Group projects. Provide preconstruction and operational support and resources for implementing OSM solutions and services.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
Manage technical implementation of Off Site Manufacturing (OSM) for project specific engagements leading design and construction teams to identify best fit offsite applications.
Perform detailed technical analysis related to architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and/or fire protection systems (et al) to provide project-specific OSM strategic approach for implementation of offsite construction.
Guide project teams on decisions for constructability, examine details, perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis, and recommend construction sequencing and logistics for specific identified product solutions.
Based on project requirements and design and using DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) approach, determine fundamental direction of prefabricated/modular designs and material selections.
Review and evaluate project specific designs, design intent, Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements, contractual obligations, division of responsibilities and deliverables, and vendor availability to support strategic implementation of offsite construction.
Work closely with construction and design teams to analyze and implement strategies for offsite construction in project's design phase including manufacturing, delivery, and assembly.
Establish project controls analysis of schedule, labor, and cost estimation, and execution plans that include scope documents, OSM vendor options, and logistics plans.
Develop project specific OSM Scopes of Work (SOW) and responsibility matrices to support OSM strategy implementation.
Develop and implement bidding strategies for competitive bids and proposals including manufacturing vendor bid list development.
Coordinate with Business Unit (BU) and/or xPL procurement teams for bidding, scope review and award recommendation processes of manufacturing vendors.
In partnership with awarded vendors, develop Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Program related to specific OSM Solutions to be applied at project level.
Collaborate with xPL Offsite product development team to incorporate products into designs and provide feedback on product improvements and options.
Maintain and implement OSM standard work methods and solutions (e.g., decision matrix, project roadmap, repeatable framework for implementing prefabrication) and contribute to continuous improvement of OSM processes to grow successful implementation of xPL.
Establish relationships with internal teams and external entities to increase understanding of new technologies and potential solutions for local business strategies and promote opportunities for OSM.
Assist with business development pursuits, provide early technical feedback and data analysis on potential opportunities for OSM, including cost, schedule, and logistics.
Establish constructive and effective relationships with external project team members and manufacturing vendors to facilitate understanding and influence design and project development. Provide input to or conduct vendor evaluations led by the xPL Supply Chain Services group.
Supervise remote teams of direct and indirect reports, may participate in hiring process and onboarding. Provide performance feedback, contribute to performance appraisals during annual performance cycle, utilize talent management systems, and identify appropriate training to help with development needs.
