Job description


Position Title:  Takeoff Coordinator

Department: Estimating

Location: Athens, AL

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from project plans and specifications
  • Utilize estimating software to ensure accuracy in takeoff calculations
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed estimates for materials, labor, and other project costs
  • Ensure effective communication between project teams to address any discrepancies or issues in takeoffs
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of takeoff data
  • Adheres to all company safety and security policies
  • Maintain a high level of quality work at all times 
  • Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times 
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner

 

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Ability to understand written material and basic math skills 
  • Ability to communicate and convey information effectively 
  • Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 25 pounds 
  • Knowledge of OSHA Standards 
  • Ability to obtain Arsenal and FBI Badge preferred, but not required 
  • Dependable transportation
  • Committed to attending work each day 
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
