Job Summary:

The AEG Internship Program offers a real-world experience that allows college students to gain hands-on experience in the live music industry.

This position is part of Zero Mile, AEG Presents' regional concert promotion team based in Atlanta. Zero Mile owns and operates The Eastern, Variety Playhouse, Terminal West, and Georgia Theatre, and promotes and markets live shows across the region.

This is a marketing role focused specifically on live music, with an emphasis on social media, street teaming, and supporting the marketing team with the promotion of upcoming concerts. The ideal candidate is interested in pursuing a career in venue marketing, concert promotion, or the broader live music industry.

This role includes communication between the promoters, artist groups, agents, and venues. The intern will gain insight into marketing strategy, social media, street team marketing, and the day-to-day process of promoting concerts in a busy regional market, including campaign execution and timeline management for show marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and scheduling engaging social media posts to promote upcoming shows
  • Manage street team efforts, including distributing promotional materials and engaging with the local community to increase event awareness
  • Support the marketing team with day-to-day administrative and organizational tasks related to show campaigns
  • Help execute grassroots marketing efforts, including flyering, community outreach, and other local activations
  • Assist with basic resizing and localizing graphics using Photoshop and other creative tools

Qualifications:

  • Passion for music and live entertainment, with a desire to learn more about the entertainment industry
  • Currently pursuing a degree in entertainment, marketing, or a similar relevant field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and take initiative independently
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop, Canva, or other design tools preferred
  • Previous experience in social media management, concert promotion, venue marketing, college music organizations, or a related field preferred; familiarity with artists and music audiences a plus
  • The AEG Internship Program requires a minimum commitment of 18 hours per week during the fall

Pay Scale:  $17.10 - $18.90

Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
