Job Description: Barback/Floor Walking

Join us in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards in a fast-paced, high-volume, live music venue. This role is responsible for keeping bartenders fully stocked, fast, and focused during peak service. Success in this role requires efficiency, awareness, and the ability to anticipate needs in a loud, crowded setting.

Key Responsibilities

High-Volume Bar Support

  • Maintain constant stock of liquor, beer, mixers, and ice during peak rushes

  • Anticipate bartender needs and restock before being asked

  • Keep multiple bar stations fully operational at all times

  • Prioritize speed and efficiency without sacrificing organization

Live Music Service Environment

  • Work effectively in loud, crowded conditions with limited communication

  • Navigate dense crowds quickly and safely while carrying stock

  • Time restocks around band sets and peak surges (between songs/sets = go time

Bar Setup & Stocking

  • Replenish liquor, beer, wine, and mixers throughout the shift

  • Restock ice, cups, garnishes, napkins, and straws

  • Prepare fresh garnishes (limes) before and during service

  • Ensure all bar stations are fully stocked and organized

Cleanliness & Maintenance

  • Keep bar tops, floors, and service areas clean and dry

  • Minor repairs

  • Remove trash regularly

  • Maintain cleanliness of storage areas and coolers

Operational Duties

  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages

  • Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries

  • Follow all health, safety, and TABC regulations

  • Help with opening and closing duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Strong sense of urgency and teamwork

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs (kegs, cases of beer, ice)

  • Basic knowledge of bar operations is a plus

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
