The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area.  Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary

Assumption Catholic Church, Mattese is seeking a talented and dedicated Musician to perform and contribute creatively to our musical projects and events. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for music, excellent performance skills, and the ability to engage and entertain diverse audiences. The Musician will be responsible for rehearsing, performing, and collaborating with other artists or production staff to deliver exceptional musical experiences.

 
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform live music at events, venues, or recording sessions as required.

  • Rehearse individually and with other musicians or ensembles to prepare for performances.

  • Learn and interpret musical pieces accurately, following direction from conductors, bandleaders, or music directors.

  • Compose, arrange, or adapt music as needed for performances or recordings.

  • Maintain and care for musical instruments and equipment.

  • Collaborate with sound engineers and production teams to ensure high-quality sound and performance setup.

  • Engage with audiences in a professional and charismatic manner during live shows.

  • Stay current with musical trends, techniques, and repertoire relevant to the role or genre.

  • Attend meetings, auditions, and rehearsals punctually and professionally.

  • Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Job Requirements
  • Proven experience as a professional musician, performer, or recording artist.

  • Proficiency in one or more musical instruments or in vocal performance.

  • Strong understanding of music theory, rhythm, and performance techniques.

  • Ability to read and interpret musical notation and chord charts (if required for the role).

  • Excellent stage presence and communication skills.

  • Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.

  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to rehearsals and performances.
