Job Description
Position Overview
The Operations Planning Manager is responsible for maintaining the balance between customer demand and operation's capabilities. Sets up and strives to improve systems for future Raleigh state to include increased volume and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support Lead Team objectives such as Safety, Quality, Cost, Engagement and EBITDA.
  • Responsibilities include establishing the overall replenishment plan, tracking forecast accuracy, defining inventory and safety stock standards, and on-time-in-full-no-errors (OTIF) performance measurement and communication.
  • Responsible for leading, coaching and developing our scheduling and logistical teams.
  • Responsible for enhancing safety standards, procedures and culture for our logistical and warehouse team.
  • Tracking, ordering and optimizing finished goods and raw material inventories, efficiently scheduling Raleigh production demands for a 7-day continuous operation.
  • Manage offsite warehouse and logistics between plant and warehouse.
  • Responsible for raw material planning for yearly budget cycle.
  • Competitive environment demands are increasing as customers expect higher levels of performance and because business volumes fluctuate.

Education and/or Experience Requirements (Qualifications)
  • Four-year degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Paper Science, or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Two to five years of relevant experience as a leader in operations planning.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
