CredentialsCustomer service experience, hospitality knowledgeCustomer service experience, hospitality knowledge
Work EnvironmentPrivate residences, luxury apartmentsHotels, resorts
Employer & IndustryLuxury property owners, residential managementHotels, hospitality industry
Search & Comparison IntentUnderstanding residential concierge rolesHotel guest services, hospitality roles

While both roles focus on providing exceptional service, a Live In Concierge works primarily in private residences or luxury apartments, offering personalized assistance to residents. A Hotel Concierge serves hotel guests, managing reservations, local recommendations, and guest needs. The key difference lies in the work environment and client base, with Live In Concierges embedded in private settings and Hotel Concierges operating within the hospitality industry.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Live In Concierge, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Live In Concierge, you need excellent organizational abilities, customer service experience, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with property management systems, communication tools, and sometimes security protocols is typically required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, discretion, and problem-solving abilities help set top performers apart in this role. These skills and qualities are vital for creating a seamless living experience and fostering resident satisfaction in residential settings.

What jobs make $1,000,000 a year?

Jobs that can earn $1,000,000 annually typically include high-level executive roles such as CEOs, investment bankers, hedge fund managers, and successful entrepreneurs. These positions often require extensive experience, advanced skills, and sometimes ownership stakes or performance-based bonuses. While rare, top professionals in finance, technology, and entertainment can reach this income level.

Is being a concierge worth it?

Being a live-in concierge can be a rewarding career for those who enjoy customer service, problem-solving, and working in hospitality or residential settings. It often offers flexible hours, a stable environment, and opportunities to develop communication and organizational skills, but job satisfaction depends on personal interests and work conditions.

What are live-in concierges?

Live-in concierges are professionals who reside on the premises of a residential building, hotel, or luxury apartment complex to provide personalized services and support to residents or guests. Their responsibilities often include handling deliveries, coordinating maintenance, assisting with reservations, and ensuring the overall comfort and security of the property. By being on-site, live-in concierges are able to respond quickly to emergencies and offer a higher level of service and convenience, often building strong relationships with those they assist.

What are some common challenges faced by a Live In Concierge and how can they be managed?

One common challenge for a Live In Concierge is balancing immediate resident requests with longer-term property management duties, especially during peak hours or special events. Effective time management and clear communication with residents and the property management team are essential to maintain high service standards. Additionally, as a live-in role, maintaining professional boundaries while building strong relationships with residents can be challenging but is crucial for job satisfaction and effectiveness. Regular training and support from management can help address these challenges and promote a healthy work-life balance.

How much do you get paid as a concierge?

Concierge salaries typically range from $12 to $25 per hour, depending on experience, location, and the employer. Annual salaries can range from approximately $25,000 to $50,000, with some high-end properties offering higher compensation. Many concierges also receive tips and benefits as part of their compensation package.

Homebuyer Concierge
We are Lennar
Lennar is one of the nation's leading homebuilders, dedicated to making an impact and creating an
extraordinary experience for their Homeowners, Communities, and Associates by building quality homes and providing exceptional customer service, giving back to the communities in which we work and live in, and fostering a culture of opportunity and growth for our Associates throughout their career. Lennar has been recognized as a Fortune 500® company and consistently ranked among the top homebuilders in the United States.
A Career that Empowers You to Build Your Future
The Homebuyer Concierge (HBC) role is designed to deliver a high-touch, warm, and proactive homebuying experience from the Purchase Agreement through Closing. Serving as the single point of contact throughout the construction and closing journey, this role acts as the primary liaison between the Homebuyer and the builder, which is critical to driving satisfaction, operational accuracy, and seamless communication. The HBC is responsible for managing closing and walkthrough schedules while setting clear expectations that align with Lennar's processes and policies. Ultimately, the Concierge delivers polished, professional, and consistent customer experience that mirrors the quality of Lennar homes.
Your Responsibilities on the Team:
Customer Relationship & Communication
• Proactive Engagement: Act as the primary, "customer-first" point of contact, providing warm and
consistent updates via multiple means of communication.
• Expectation Management: Educate buyers on mortgage, title, closing journey and construction
expectations to ensure a seamless experience.
• Milestone Ownership: Conduct regular check-ins to provide progress updates, resolve concerns,
and celebrate key milestones through closing day.
Operations & Systems Management
• Data Integrity: Maintain 100% accuracy for all customer interactions, closing dates, and
documentation using the appropriate CRM software.
• Contract Administration: Generate and execute all post-agreement addenda and verify all
requirements are met to ensure on-time closings.
• Tech Onboarding: Guide homebuyers to download and utilize the Lennar App as the primary hub
for their closing journey. Leverage the Lennar App to optimize the homebuyer experience.
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Central Liaison: Coordinate communication between Homebuyers and internal partners
(Construction, Mortgage, Title, and Sales). Communicating with external partners as needed to
facilitate a timely closing.
• Problem Resolution: Independently manage complex issues, including appraisal challenges
(Tidewater/ROV), loan denials, and scheduling conflicts.
• Project Tracking: Participate in weekly backlog meetings to audit home statuses and proactively
mitigate potential closing delays.
Your Toolbox:
• High School diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience supporting a real estate sales team preferred.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including occasional attendance on site with homeowners or off-site events.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and navigate real estate and residential construction processes.
• Ability to assess issues, identify solutions, and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM platforms.
• Proficiency in using digital communication tools and AI-augmented software (including automated transcription and summarization) to streamline documentation and manage the customer journey.
• Hold or obtain a valid Real Estate License where such licensing is a regulatory requirement.
Contacts
• Daily interaction with various division personnel, outside agencies, business partners, consultants and homeowners. Regular contact with the public. Frequent external contacts where matters discussed require resourcefulness, patience, clarity and tact.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is an essential function of this job. Requires the ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. Job may require occasional operation of construction equipment. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
This description outlines the basic responsibilities and requirements for the position noted. This is not a comprehensive listing of all job duties of the Associates. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
During the course of your employment, you may be required to use, download, or access certain Company-approved tools, programs, applications, or systems. These resources may include, but are not limited to, applications designed for customer engagement, operational efficiency, data analysis, Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, and other business functions.
