More details:
A family in Martinsville, NJ is looking for an engaged and patient nanny to help care for their 1-year-old son. The schedule is flexible for best fit. Ideally, the family is seeking 3 to 5 days per week from 12 pm until 6 pm (18 - 30+ hours per week). The number of days and hours is based on the best candidate for this household. Someone with the flexibility for occasional overnight care and weekend date nights would be appreciated.

Duties:
While the nanny's primary duty is caring for the child, additional duties may include doing the family's laundry, ironing, vacuuming, loading/emptying the dishwasher, grocery shopping, tidying up after the child, helping with cleaning the entire home, cooking for the child only (if meal is not pre-prepared), organizing and rotating toys, packing the diaper bag, and occasional household organizing.

Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this home is patient, nurturing, and engaging and can switch between the responsibilities of a nanny and mother's helper. Looking for someone who can clean and maintain the home but also jump in to take care of the baby if Mom steps out for the gym or errands. Nanny must have a driver's license and be able to keep up with an active 14-month-old boy. Experience with sleep training and potty training is appreciated. The ideal nanny will incorporate developmental activities into playtime and maintain daily routines. Experience with infants/toddlers (changing diapers/bathing/dressing/preparing bottles and feeding) is a must. Bachelor's degree is a plus but not required.

About the child:
This 1-year-old is social, active, giggly, strong, and persistent. He does not currently walk but may be walking by the time a nanny begins.

About the parents:
Mom is a homemaker and is friendly, loving, introverted, organized, and particular about cleanliness. Dad is ambitious, empathic, strong-willed, systematic, and has high expectations. These parents have yet to establish a discipline structure for their son.

Benefits:
Salary plus paid vacation days off, paid holidays off, paid sick days off, and paid personal days off.
