Job description

The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading law firm in Austin, TX and we are looking to hire an experienced Civil Litigation Associate to join a growing Texas team. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, motivated litigator to take on meaningful responsibility, work closely with senior attorneys, gain hands-on litigation, client, and courtroom experience, and help grow the firm's expanding Texas practice. Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid | Some Days In-Office with remote flexibility What You'll Do The Civil Litigation Attorney will support a broad range of Texas civil litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities Manage litigation matters from early case assessment through resolution Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents Handle written discovery, document review, and case investigation Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation Communicate with clients regarding case status, strategy, deadlines, and next steps Work closely with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case development Conduct legal research and prepare clear, practical legal analysis Assist with real estate, construction, business, contract, employment, defamation, landlord/tenant, and general civil litigation matters Support the growth of Baker Law Group's Texas litigation practice Maintain deadlines, organize case materials, and move matters forward efficiently What We're Looking For Education & Experience Active Texas bar admission Approximately 3-5 years of civil litigation experience Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and client communications Deposition, hearing, mediation, or trial preparation experience Comfortable working on a variety of civil litigation matters Preferred Experience Additionally, experience in any of the following areas is helpful: Real estate, Construction, Employment, General commercial/civil litigations Defamation matters, Business or contract & landlord/tenant disputes Court appearances or second-chair trial work Additional Skills & Attributes Strong legal writing, research & organizational skills + deadline management Good judgment and willingness to ask questions when needed Ability to communicate clearly with clients and internal team members Collaborative, low-ego mindset with a passion for growing the Texas practice What You Can Expect Compensation & Benefits Competitive Compensation (depending on experience) + Generous Bonus opportunities (a tiered bonus structure, over and above base salary amount) Health, Dental and Vision insurance 401 (k), Paid Time Off & Professional Developmental Assistance If you're looking for meaningful litigation work, greater responsibility, hands-on courtroom and client experience, and the opportunity to grow alongside an expanding multi-state law firm, we'd love to hear from you.
