Responsibilities
What Our Associate Attorneys Do:
• Attend court hearings, perform legal research, and collaborate with associate attorneys to offer legal advice.
• Maintain organized files to ensure accessibility of recent updates to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
• Analyze legal matters for conflicts, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on their behalf.
• Prepare legal documents and correspondence, including contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Communicate effectively with paralegals and clients to ensure efficient case management.
Qualifications
What We Need From You
• Must have passed the bar exam and hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA).
• Admission to the Texas Bar.
• Evidence of current Texas Driver's License and automobile insurance.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience handling family law cases (non-negotiable) in the state of Texas.
• Ability to track billable hours.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new programs easily.
• Strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and reliability.
• Problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
