About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Liquidation Specialist to own our excess, aged, and slow-moving inventory strategy across multiple brands.
This role is ideal for someone who has successfully worked with off-price retailers and liquidation channels and knows how to move inventory while maximizing recovery value. You'll partner closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, and Operations to proactively identify inventory risks, execute liquidation programs, and improve overall inventory health.
If you already have established relationships with buyers at companies like TJX, Burlington, Ross, Ollie's, Big Lots, and other off-price retailers, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Inventory Management
    • Monitor aged, excess, and slow-moving inventory across multiple brands and sales channels.
    • Analyze inventory trends and identify products at risk before they become obsolete.
    • Develop strategies to minimize inventory exposure while maximizing recovery.

Liquidation Strategy & Execution
    • Build and execute liquidation plans across multiple channels.
    • Manage relationships with off-price retailers, liquidation partners, jobbers, and bulk buyers.
    • Pitch available inventory and negotiate opportunities that maximize recovery value.
    • Coordinate inventory movement and ensure timely execution of liquidation programs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Ecommerce, and Finance to improve inventory planning.
    • Provide recommendations that reduce future overstock and aged inventory.
    • Support forecasting efforts through inventory analysis and reporting.

Reporting & Analysis
    • Maintain accurate reporting of inventory disposition activities.
    • Track liquidation performance and recovery rates.
    • Provide regular updates to leadership on inventory health and liquidation progress.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory liquidation, inventory management, or off-price retail sales.
  • Proven experience liquidating excess inventory for consumer products.
  • Existing relationships with off-price retailers such as:
    • TJX Companies
    • Burlington
    • Ross Stores
    • Ollie's Bargain Outlet
    • Big Lots
    • Other discount or liquidation buyers
  • Strong understanding of inventory planning and inventory lifecycle management.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in ecommerce, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or omnichannel retail.
  • Experience working with Shopify, SellerCloud, Power BI, Monday.com, or similar systems.
  • Experience managing inventory across multiple brands.
  • Knowledge of wholesale, closeout, and liquidation marketplaces.
