About the Position

Our Refrigeration Technician is responsible for repairing, installing, and troubleshooting refrigeration coolers. They will work on commercial refrigeration beverage equipment and vending machines. They will also perform preventative maintenance in order to avoid future problems or breakdowns, and be generally able to work on mechanical and electrical components of these machines, though some may be trained to specialize in either of these areas.

Work Hours and Location:

  • Candidates must have weekend availability throughout the year as a part of their regular schedule, as occasional weekend shifts are an essential aspect of this position. Flexibility to work additional hours, including holidays, may also be required based on the needs of the business.
  • This position will report to Big Geyser's Brentwood, NY facility.

  • Repair and upgrade refrigeration equipment
  • Maintain existing refrigeration equipment
  • Understand the operations of vending machines, beverage equipment
  • Diagnose malfunctions and defects in equipment
  • Read blueprints and electrical/electronic schematics
  • Grasp electrical and plumbing concepts
  • Operate tools, gauges and other testing equipment for refrigeration systems.
