Linux System Administratorย 

Overviewย 

We are seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator with deep Red Hatย expertiseย to join our infrastructure team. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with systems automation and data center operations, ideal for someone who wants to drive infrastructure excellence while mentoring team members.ย 

Key Responsibilitiesย 

  • Design, implement, andย maintain enterprise Linux environments with primary focus onย 
    Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)ย 
  • Develop andย maintain infrastructure automation using Puppet, Ansible, or similar configuration management toolsย 
  • Manage physical and virtual server infrastructure across data center environmentsย 
  • Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementationย 
  • Mentor junior administrators andย provide technical guidance to team membersย 
  • Perform hardware installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting in data center facilitiesย 
  • Implement security best practices, patch management, and compliance requirementsย 
  • Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and optimizationย 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure initiativesย 

Required Qualificationsย 

  • 8+ years of Linux system administration experience with strong Red Hat focusย 
  • Proven experience with automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, orย SaltStack)ย 
  • Hands-on data center experience including hardware installation and troubleshootingย 
  • 2+ years in a leadership or mentoring capacity (team lead, senior admin, or management)ย 
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineerย 
    (RHCE) preferredย 
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)ย 
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, or similar)ย 
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, storage systems, and backup solutionsย 
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skillsย 

Preferred Qualificationsย 

  • Experience with containerization (Docker,ย Podman, Kubernetes)ย 
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesย 
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, etc.)ย 
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)ย
