Job description

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Linen Specialist, you will be responsible for providing and distributing Linen and Textile products and services throughout the facility as well as performing general Hospitality Associate, Environmental Services I duties when needed. 


What you will do: 


Adhere to safety and linen/textile policies. 


Adhere to storage, handling and disposal of RMW (regulated medical waste), RCRA/Hazmat, solid waste and linen/textiles.  


Manage pars/quantities of linen/scrubs/microfiber products/curtains/other textiles  


Deliver linen/scrubs/microfiber products/curtains/other textiles to patient care/non-patient care areas  


Stock linen/scrubs/microfiber products/curtains/other textiles in patient care/non-patient care areas  


Pickup/removal/transport of linen/scrubs/microfiber products/curtains/other textiles  


Enter linen data into and generates reports from computerized linen management system 


Manage service recovery as needed 


Manage linen/textiles in order to meet/exceed facility linen expense and loss goals.  


Correctly utilize all supplies and resources at all times to eliminate waste.  


Collaborate with leadership on recommendations for patient experience improvement  


May include ordering linen/scrubs/microfiber products/curtains/other textiles  


What you will need: 


High School Graduate or Equivalent. Preferred  


1 + years of experience in healthcare Preferred  


1 + years of experience in housekeeping or service-related field Preferred  


Computer, Electronic Tablets and basic technology skills Required
