Looking for a challenging role in highly automated environment where you can truly make a difference?

Industrial Maintenance Technician opportunity with a family-owned regional company who has been growing successfully since 1934. This role will repair, maintain, troubleshoot and install various equipment and components of an automated processing facility.

Minimum job requirements include knowledge of several of the following areas:

  • Preventative maintenance procedures
  • Boilers
  • Air compressors
  • Welding and Piping
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Electrical circuitry and PLC's
  • Electro/mechanical utility and electrical trouble shooting
  • General equipment and building maintenance.

Experience with air cylinders, solenoid valves, steam traps, motor starters, gear reducers, inverter drives, or industrial laundry equipment is a plus.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES including but not limited to:

  • Perform well-defined preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ability to communicate and work with all levels of management and support existing engineering teams or assist in other areas and/or departments as needed
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness standards
  • Troubleshoots sources of equipment problems by observing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems equipment and component devices in the operation.
  • Uses precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Assists other maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs
  • Inspects motors and belts, check fluid levels, replaces filters, and performs other maintenance actions while following maintenance procedure
  • Performs various welding activities including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) and associated control systems.
  • Performs boiler chemical testing.
  • Preforms daily and weekly safety checks on boilers and makes necessary repairs
  • Performs wastewater pretreatment system testing
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of location equipment per work procedures or technical manual
  • Inspects motors and belts, check fluid levels, replaces filters, and perform other maintenance actions while following maintenance records

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
  • High school diploma/GED
  • General Knowledge and skills which represent a good mechanical background
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Must have the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to stand for up to 7 hours of an 8-hour shift
  • Maintenance knowledge - sufficient formal or informal training to perform the duties of this position
  • Any combination of general maintenance, building maintenance, equipment maintenance, automotive maintenance, construction, plumbing, electrical, and military experience is acceptable
  • Experience with formalized safety programs preferred, such as Lock Out/Tag Out, confined space, OSHA awareness, Technical School Courses or Ladder Safety
  • Minimum of at least 2 years of successful maintenance experience
