Job Description

This role focuses on safely and efficiently distributing clean linens throughout a hospital facility. You will move linen carts between designated areas, ensure each floor has the correct supplies, and organize linens in their proper storage locations. The position requires consistent physical activity, attention to detail, and strong reliability, while maintaining professional interactions with nursing staff in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Distribute clean linens throughout the hospital according to established routes and floor assignments.
  • Organize and stock clean linens in designated storage areas, ensuring items are placed in their proper locations.
  • Safely move and maneuver linen bins weighing up to approximately 50 pounds throughout the hospital.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in linen storage and distribution spaces.
  • Coordinate and communicate professionally with nursing staff to understand linen needs and priorities.
  • Follow all hospital and departmental policies and procedures related to cleanliness, safety, and handling of materials.
  • Adhere to schedule requirements, including weekday shifts and assigned weekend rotations.
  • Participate in required orientation and training sessions and apply learned procedures consistently.

Orientation takes place offsite prior to starting work in the hospital. The role requires adherence to hospital dress and grooming standards, including wearing provided blue scrub uniforms and appropriate sneakers, and following policies that allow short nails and gel or polish but prohibit acrylic nails. Pay and Benefits
