Job description

DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on, and results-driven Hotel General Manager to lead daily operations at our Baymont Inn & Suites property. The ideal candidate is a strong hospitality leader with proven experience in hotel management, guest satisfaction, revenue growth, staff leadership, and property operations.
The General Manager will oversee all departments, ensure exceptional guest experiences, maintain brand standards, and drive operational excellence and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and guest services
  • Lead, train, coach, and motivate hotel staff to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety regulations, and company policies
  • Monitor occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall hotel performance metrics
  • Manage budgets, payroll, scheduling, purchasing, and cost controls
  • Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally to maintain high guest satisfaction scores
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop team members
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and operational quality
  • Coordinate with ownership and corporate leadership regarding financial reporting and operational goals
  • Implement sales and revenue strategies to maximize profitability

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Hotel General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or similar hospitality leadership role
  • Experience with Wyndham, Choice, Hilton, Marriott, IHG, or other branded hotel operations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hotel PMS systems, revenue management, and online reputation management
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple departments in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Financial management and budgeting experience preferred
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
