Supervises Positions:
JOB SUMMARY
Acts as a liaison to all departments which require the services of linen to include scrubs and performs functions related to, but not limited to, customer service, par levels, inventory management, linen injections, and linen discards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Experience in linen distribution or laundry production preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
Licensure:
N/A
Additional Skills/Requirements Required:
Must be able to see and read English language instructions. Ability to multitask and prioritize. Ability to work independently.
Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred:
Knowledge of hospital care linen/laundry requirements. Ability to use MS Office, Outlook, Excel.
Competencies:
  • Cleanliness: Maintains a high standard of cleanliness for all facility areas.
    • Cleans furnishings, floors, and walls to remove all visible soils.
    • Places and removes caution signs in areas being cleaned as needed.
    • Cleans and returns all equipment to proper storage area.
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensures public areas are in a sanitary condition at all times.
    • Cleans restrooms, patient rooms, and surgical suites according to department policy and procedure.
    • Assists with linen management.
    • Replenishes all dispensable items such as paper towels, tissues, etc.
    • Empties trash and ensures that the trash receptacle is clean.
  • Guest Relations: Promotes quality guest relations with both internal and external customers.
    • Greets and responds to customer requests promptly.
    • Answers phones, responds to requests, and handles issues in a cheerful manner.

The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical Demand Code:
Medium to Heavy Physical Demand: The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use Safe Handling Equipment.     The base compensation range for this role is $16.00 - $20.05 hourly.
    Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs such as shift differentials, clinical ladders, and other incentives that may be available for those in eligible positions.
