To thrive as a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Specialist, you need a strong understanding of laboratory workflows, data management principles, and experience with LIMS software, often supported by a degree in laboratory sciences or information technology. Familiarity with industry-standard LIMS platforms (such as LabWare, STARLIMS, or Thermo Fisher), database management, and possibly certification in relevant systems is highly beneficial.
