About Zipline

Zipline is the world's largest and most experienced drone delivery service. We are on a mission to serve all humans equally by ensuring access to food, medicine and essential goods anytime, anywhere. We design, build, and operate the world's largest autonomous logistics system, delivering critical supplies quickly and reliably. Today, Zipline operates on four continents, makes a delivery somewhere in the world every 30 seconds, and has completed millions of deliveries to date, including blood, vaccines, medical supplies, food, and retail products.

Our customers include the world's largest and most prominent healthcare systems, governments, retailers, restaurants and global businesses who rely on us to save lives, reduce emissions, increase economic opportunity, and provide delivery from point A to point B as fast as possible. The drone is only 15% of what we've built to enable seamless, reliable, global operations.

Our system strengthens supply chains, reduces congestion, and gives people time back. With more than 140 million commercial autonomous miles safely flown, Zipline is redefining access to healthcare, consumer products, and food across the globe.

We operate at a global scale and are looking for practical problem solvers who thrive on real-world challenges and rapid growth. Our team is motivated by building systems that have a direct, meaningful impact on people's lives and by scaling the future of logistics. We are seeking people who sculpt from first principles, enjoy facing adversity, and can do the impossible at record breaking speeds.

About the Marketing Team

The Marketing team helps people discover, try, and continue using Zipline. We work across lifecycle, merchandising, and growth to create campaigns and customer experiences that support awareness, conversion, retention, and repeat usage.

Our team partners closely with Product, Creative, Commercial, Analytics, Engineering, and Operations to bring campaigns and experiments to life. This is a fast-moving, cross-functional team where creativity, customer empathy, and analytical thinking come together to support Zipline's growth.

The Role

We're looking for a Marketing Intern who wants to see how a fast-moving consumer marketing team plans, launches, and improves campaigns and customer experiences.

In this role, you'll support priority projects across lifecycle, merchandising, growth, and product marketing, helping the team coordinate work, organize insights, set up campaigns, document processes, and bring customer-facing ideas to life. Depending on team priorities, this may include campaign coordination, app merchandising support, lifecycle messaging, product marketing research, launch support, performance reporting, or playbook development.

You'll learn how marketing partners with Product, Creative, Commercial, Analytics, Engineering, and Operations to connect customer needs with business goals. Your work will help the team move faster, stay organized, and create better experiences for Zipline customers.

What You'll Do

  • Support priority marketing projects across consumer, partner, lifecycle, merchandising, growth, and product marketing.
  • Help keep projects organized by tracking timelines, next steps, inputs, decisions, and materials.
  • Support campaign, launch, or partner work by helping gather context, prepare briefs, coordinate feedback, and QA customer-facing materials.
  • Contribute to marketing research and planning, which may include competitive examples, customer insights, content ideas, or performance learnings.
  • Help document repeatable workflows, playbooks, and best practices so future work is easier to execute.
  • Partner with teammates across Marketing and cross-functional teams to learn how ideas move from strategy to execution.

What You'll Bring

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree, ideally with an interest in marketing, communications, business, consumer products, or a related field. Candidates must have completed at least the second year of their undergraduate studies.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly, organize information, and adapt tone for different audiences.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with comfort managing multiple moving pieces, deadlines, and project inputs.
  • Curiosity about how marketing works across channels like email, push, in-app, paid, and merchandising.
  • Comfort learning new tools and systems, including content management systems, campaign platforms, spreadsheets, or AI-assisted workflows.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and ability to communicate clearly with teammates across Marketing, Creative, Product, Analytics, Engineering, Commercial, and Operations.
  • Based in or able to work onsite in South San Francisco for the duration of the internship.

What Else You Should Know

This internship is a full-time position, in-person at our South San Francisco office. We will host our Spring 2026 interns from (January 2027 - April 2027). Zipline is unable to sponsor work visas for applicants to this position.

The hourly rate for this internship is $34 per hour. Additional benefits may include relocation support, a housing stipend, overtime pay, paid sick time, and other benefits, where applicable and subject to local requirements.

Candidates are limited to three (3) applications within a 30-day period.
