Summary

Zepto Life Technology is seeking a highly motivated Field Sales Representative - Clinical Diagnostics to join our growing commercial team. This role is ideal for an early-career to mid-level sales professional with experience in healthcare, laboratory services, or diagnostics who is eager to build a territory from the ground up in a fast-paced startup environment.

The Field Sales Representative will be responsible for driving new business development and expanding adoption of Zepto's clinical laboratory services across a national territory. This role will focus on building relationships with physicians, hospital systems, long-term care facilities, infectious disease specialists, and laboratory decision-makers.

Essential Duties

  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to generate new clinical laboratory accounts and expand existing business.
  • Identify, prospect, and engage healthcare providers, hospitals, health systems, and laboratory partners.
  • Build strong relationships with physicians, laboratory directors, practice managers, and healthcare administrators.
  • Present and communicate Zepto's clinical microbiology and molecular diagnostic testing services to clinical stakeholders.
  • Educate customers on the clinical value of diagnostic testing, including turnaround time, accuracy, and patient care impact.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through account activation and initial adoption.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and activity documentation in CRM systems.
  • Collaborate closely with laboratory operations, customer service, and leadership to ensure excellent client experience.
  • Participate in internal sales training, product education, and ongoing commercial development.
  • Provide market feedback regarding customer needs, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.
  • Represent Zepto at industry meetings, conferences, and professional networking events as needed.
  • Travel approximately 50% within a national territory to support account development and client engagement.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-3+ years of experience in field sales, healthcare sales, diagnostics sales, medical device sales, or laboratory services sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and generate new business opportunities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate clinical or technical concepts to healthcare audiences.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel nationally up to 50%.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in clinical laboratory, microbiology, molecular diagnostics, or infectious disease testing sales.
  • Familiarity with CLIA-certified laboratory environments and healthcare diagnostic workflows.
  • Existing relationships within hospital systems, physician groups, or laboratory networks.
  • Experience selling into multi-stakeholder healthcare environments.
  • Exposure to startup or high-growth commercial environments.

Work Environment

  • This position is a field-based role that may be performed from a home office within the United States. The employee will regularly interact with customers, prospects, and internal team members through virtual meetings, phone calls, email communications, and periodic in-person meetings.
  • The role requires frequent travel to healthcare facilities, hospitals, physician practices, laboratories, industry conferences, and other customer locations throughout an assigned national territory. Travel is expected to be approximately 50% of the time.
  • The employee must be able to maintain a professional home office environment with reliable internet access and the ability to effectively manage customer relationships, sales activities, and administrative responsibilities remotely.
  • Periodic travel to Zepto headquarters may be required for onboarding, training, strategic planning meetings, team events, and other business needs.

Physical Demands

This role requires regular travel and extended periods of driving, sitting, and standing during customer visits, presentations, and meetings. Occasional lifting of materials (up to 25 lbs) may be required for trade shows or field activities.

Job Type

  • Full-time, exempt.
  • Remote within the United States; employment is contingent upon Zepto's ability to support payroll, benefits, and employment compliance in the employee's state of residence.
  • Pay Range: $90,000-$130,000 base salary, DOE.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including holiday time off, paid time off (PTO), sick time off, health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), health savings account (HSA), 401(k), and life insurance.
