Job Description:
The Department of Pathology at the University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC) is seeking a part-time, tenure track, academic Surgical Pathologist/Cytopathologist. UTMC is a tertiary care center that supports UT College of Medicine programs for medical students, graduate students, and residents in a wide variety of programs. The Department of Pathology has training programs for AP/CP residents, for pathologists' assistants, and for laboratory technicians.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate primary clinical responsibilities at UTMC with other anatomic pathologists
  • Teaching of residents and medical students is a critical part of this position, and the successful applicant must have exemplary teaching skills.
  • Excellent opportunities are available for independent or collaborative research, and the candidate is expected to develop a strong publication resume.
  • Provide services Monday through Friday
    • Call every sixth weekend
Minimum Qualifications:
  • M.D. or equivalent degree
  • Must be AP/CP Board certified
  • Must have successful completion of Fellowship in Cytopathology along with Board Certification
  • Must be eligible for licensure in Ohio Evidence of excellence in teaching and evidence of significant scholarly activity are essential
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Pathology/Cytopathology
