Ingram Content Group (ICG) is seeking a Sales Specialist to join our Consortium Book Sales & Distribution team in our Minneapolis office. 

The Sales Specialist will work with sales representatives, award-winning publishers, and independent bookstores to achieve growth in the trade sales channel.

The ideal candidate will develop and maintain customer and client relationships, will have strong problem solving, time management and analytical skills, excellent communication chops, and a passion for reading and working with books. In this role, you will partner with the Consortium sales, marketing and customer service teams to support our client publishers and increase sales. Responsibilities include organizing key sales meetings, coordinating our participation at conferences, including Winter Institute, and working directly with assigned accounts. You will assess customers' needs and determine the appropriate Ingram products, programs and services to meet those needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or year for year related experience
  • 2 years of experience in publishing or book-related position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient with MS Excel
  • Creative problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as main contact for all interactions with Field Sales Representatives.
  • Nurtures relationships with key Field accounts working in support of Field Sales Representatives and works directly with Educational Book & Media Association (EBMA) accounts.
  • Supports Field Representatives with title data, digital catalogs, updates, and sales opportunities.
  • Trains Field Sales Representatives to use systems, including iPage and iQ.
  • Troubleshoots Field account sales operations issues, including author events.
  • Forecasts title sales for Field, tracks Field sales and reports quarterly results.
  • Manages all aspects of Consortium seasonal Sales and Pre-Sales conference planning and execution.

Hiring Salary Range: $58,298 - $72,657. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to:  the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
