Job description

ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to be willing to support the Christian mission of ACU.
The ALC Library Courier delivers library materials daily between the libraries of ACU, Hardin-Simmons University, McMurry University, the Abilene Public Library, and the Abilene Library Consortium office.
Basic Responsibilities:
  • Courier library materials between the five key locations within the city of Abilene every weekday.

Essential Duties:
  • Daily deliver library materials on a set schedule and route.
  • Ensure the materials are properly sorted for delivery.

Skill Requirements:
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Customer-service focused.

Qualifications:
  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance. You will use your own vehicle to deliver and be reimbursed for mileage.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Friendly and customer-service focused.
  • Able to lift and carry boxes of books of up to 25lbs each.
  • Able to climb stairs, navigate curbs, and walk distances of 50 yards using a rolling hand truck.
