Our client's Liaison Engineering team is seeking an experienced Expert Liaison Engineer to support aircraft production operations in the Puget Sound area and Portland, Oregon. This role serves as the engineering representative on the factory floor, partnering with production teams to resolve technical issues, support aircraft builds, and ensure designs are successfully translated into manufacturing.
The engineer will analyze and resolve production non-conformances, perform root cause investigations, support Material Review Board (MRB) activities, develop engineering dispositions, and provide technical solutions throughout the aircraft lifecycle. Responsibilities include supporting structural repairs, product/process improvements, design reviews, supplier compliance, and manufacturing quality initiatives.
This is a fully onsite role requiring hands-on interaction within the factory environment and collaboration with cross-functional engineering and production teams.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 9+ years of experience in aerospace structures, systems, design, or production engineering.
- Experience with aircraft manufacturing processes, MRB activities, and resolving production issues.
- Knowledge of aircraft structures, damage repair, static analysis, and engineering standards.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Boeing Commercial Airplanes MRB certification.
- Experience supporting aircraft production, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.
- Hands-on experience with aerospace materials and fabrication processes.
