Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of NICU RN experience required
- Experience in a Level II NICU required
- First-time travelers are not accepted
- Current RN license required
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Experience with charting systems required; any system experience accepted
- Travel nursing experience preferred and aligned with the needs of the assignment
- Strong clinical skills caring for infants 29-34 weeks and unstable newborns
- Ability to provide two professional references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled neonatal nursing care to infants in a Level II NICU
- Attend all deliveries and high-risk deliveries as needed
- Support breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, oxygen delivery, and surfactant administration
- Assist with chest tube setup and care, drains, feeding tubes, PICC/central lines, UAC/UVC management, and syringe pumps
- Help with procedure sedation, RSI-related support, cooling and warming blanket use, and neonatal stabilization
- Care for newborns experiencing neonatal abstinence syndrome, isolation precautions, and feeding challenges
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support transition nursery, couplet care, and related newborn services
- Float to Postpartum or Labor & Delivery when needed to support patient care
