Job Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU RN experience required
  • Experience in a Level II NICU required
  • First-time travelers are not accepted
  • Current RN license required
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Experience with charting systems required; any system experience accepted
  • Travel nursing experience preferred and aligned with the needs of the assignment
  • Strong clinical skills caring for infants 29-34 weeks and unstable newborns
  • Ability to provide two professional references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years
Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled neonatal nursing care to infants in a Level II NICU
  • Attend all deliveries and high-risk deliveries as needed
  • Support breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, oxygen delivery, and surfactant administration
  • Assist with chest tube setup and care, drains, feeding tubes, PICC/central lines, UAC/UVC management, and syringe pumps
  • Help with procedure sedation, RSI-related support, cooling and warming blanket use, and neonatal stabilization
  • Care for newborns experiencing neonatal abstinence syndrome, isolation precautions, and feeding challenges
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support transition nursery, couplet care, and related newborn services
  • Float to Postpartum or Labor & Delivery when needed to support patient care
