Key Responsibilities of the Level 2 NICU RN
  • Provide specialized care for neonates in a Level 2 NICU environment (33 weeks and above)
  • Perform baby catch in OR for C-section cases
  • Administer blood & blood products and antibiotics/antivirals
  • Perform APGAR scoring and high-risk deliveries attendance
  • Manage feeding (bottle, breast, gavage) and breastfeeding support
  • Perform respiratory support, including CPAP and ventilator management
  • Conduct phototherapy and manage hyperbilirubinemia
  • Execute thorough patient/family teaching and discharge planning
Requirements of the Level 2 NICU RN
  • Valid NY License at submission
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
  • Mandatory EPIC charting experience
  • BLS and NRP certifications
