Job Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submittal
  • At least 1 year of NICU or neonatal nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred
  • Current BLS certification required
  • NRP or NRP Advanced required
  • STABLE certification preferred
  • Experience with Epic charting required
  • Strong comfort working with neonates and Level II/III NICU patient populations
  • Ability to work night shifts and provide weekend coverage as needed
Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, compassionate NICU nursing care to neonates
  • Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as hypoglycemia, jaundice, sepsis rule-out, TTN, RDS, prematurity, and IUGR
  • Support respiratory care needs including Bubble CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula
  • Assist with high-risk deliveries and provide specialized neonatal interventions
  • Administer medications, fluids, blood products, and other ordered therapies
  • Perform developmental care, thermoregulation support, and family education
  • Manage IVs, central lines, UAC/UVC care, and neonatal respiratory equipment as assigned
  • Float to baby nursery support when needed
  • Document accurately in Epic and collaborate with the care team to support excellent patient outcomes
