Job description

Registered Nurse - Level II NICU

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Join a dedicated team as a Level II NICU Registered Nurse, caring for unstable newborns born at 32 weeks and greater. You will be responsible for attending all deliveries and high-risk deliveries, providing vital care to our youngest patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to Level II NICU infants
  • Administer breathing treatments and manage chest tub setups and care
  • Perform CPAP/BiPAP, rapid sequence intubation, and sedation procedures
  • Utilize cooling/warming blankets and manage drains and feeding tubes
  • Insert and care for PICC/Central Lines and manage syringe pumps
  • Support breastfeeding and the handling of breast milk
  • Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and safe handling of patients undergoing GYN surgeries
  • Participate in couplet care and transition nursery protocols

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in NICU
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Experience in Level II NICU preferred, specifically with neonatal patients between 29-34 weeks and knowledge of neonatal abstinence syndrome
  • Experience with respiratory support including bubble CPAP and oxygen delivery systems
  • Ability to float to Postpartum and Labor & Delivery as needed
