Level 1 Agent information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Level 1 Agent, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Level 1 Agent, you need strong customer service skills, basic troubleshooting abilities, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with ticketing systems, CRM software, and common communication platforms is typically required. Excellent listening, patience, and problem-solving skills help Level 1 Agents effectively address customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary. These abilities are crucial for delivering prompt, accurate support and maintaining customer satisfaction in frontline service roles.

What are some common challenges faced by Level 1 Agents, and how can they effectively manage them?

Level 1 Agents often face challenges such as handling high call volumes, resolving a wide range of basic customer inquiries, and managing situations when issues need to be escalated to higher support tiers. Effective time management, clear communication, and following established protocols are key to managing these challenges. Regular training and support from team leads also help Level 1 Agents stay updated on products and best practices, ensuring they provide accurate and efficient service while building confidence in their roles.

What are Level 1 Agents?

Level 1 Agents are entry-level customer service or technical support professionals who provide initial assistance to clients or users. Their primary responsibilities include handling basic inquiries, troubleshooting common issues, and escalating more complex problems to higher-level support teams. Level 1 Agents are often the first point of contact for customers and play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience. They typically follow established scripts and protocols to resolve issues efficiently and document interactions for future reference.

Job description

Company Description

Sosemo is an award-winning strategic search and media agency built for where discovery is headed next. Our work sits at the intersection of performance marketing and modern visibility-helping brands win across search engines and AI-driven answer environments. Our operating model is simple: human insight and accountability, amplified by AI precision. We're building a human-led, AI agent-enabled agency where strategy stays with experts-and repeatable, high-volume execution is automated through governed agentic workflows.

Job Description

We are seeking an AI Agent Builder (Copilot Studio) - Marketing Automation to design, build, and scale AI agents that automate how we deliver SEO and paid media services. You'll help modernize marketing operations by turning complex, manual work into reliable agent-driven workflows-so our teams can move faster and our clients can see results sooner.

This role is hands-on: you will translate Sosemo's 14 years of methodologies, process flows, training guides, and sample deliverables into repeatable, governed agentic systems used daily by our Client Services team-supporting everything from keyword research and technical audits to ad copy development, reporting, and insight generation.

This is an individual contributor (IC) role with high ownership and visibility. You will partner closely with strategists, analysts, and account teams, but you will not be expected to manage direct reports.

Along with a competitive salary (salary range: $82,500 - $95,000) and benefits, you'll work with a team that values ownership, innovation, and practical AI adoption that improves real outcomes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build autonomous and human-in-the-loop agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio to automate repetitive, high-volume marketing operations work (keyword research, technical audits, metadata, content optimization support, ad copy variants, pacing/monitoring, reporting).

  • Design reusable, goal-oriented prompt frameworks and prompt libraries that enforce brand voice, SEO best practices, and output consistency.

  • Connect agents to data sources and marketing platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, GA4, Search Console, SEO tooling) using APIs and approved connectors.

  • Map current agency workflows end-to-end, identify manual bottlenecks, and replace steps with agentic automation to increase speed, quality, and scalability.

  • Operationalize Sosemo's internal IP by converting playbooks, templates, and training materials into structured agent instructions, guardrails, and checklists.

  • Implement governance: QA workflows, approval checkpoints, logging/monitoring, and clear escalation paths for edge cases and brand-risk scenarios.

  • Partner with Client Services to gather requirements, maintain a prioritized build backlog, and measure impact (time saved, error reduction, output quality, delivery speed).

  • Enable adoption through training sessions, internal documentation/playbooks, and ongoing iteration based on user feedback and performance.

What You'll Build (First 90 Days):

  • Audit 5-10 core Client Services workflows and identify the highest-ROI automation opportunities across SEO and paid media operations.

  • Ship an initial set of production-ready Copilot Studio agents (e.g., keyword clustering + brief drafting, technical audit triage, weekly performance reporting + insight generation).

  • Stand up lightweight governance you own: QA checklists, approval paths, and a shared prompt/agent library so outputs are consistent and brand-safe.

  • Integrate at least one agent workflow directly with a marketing platform (Google Ads and/or Meta) or a reporting data source.

Qualifications
  • 4-year college degree in marketing, computer science, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Expert-level capability in Microsoft Copilot Studio (building, testing, deploying, and iterating agents).

  • Experience with no-code/low-code automation (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, Zapier, Make) and comfort working with APIs/webhooks.

  • Working knowledge of SEO workflows and deliverables (keyword research, technical audits, on-page optimization, content support); paid media experience (Google Ads and/or Meta) strongly preferred.

  • Strong prompt engineering skills for structured outputs (analysis, QA, brief generation, reporting narratives) with an emphasis on repeatability and quality.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical workflows, test cases, and production-ready agent behavior.

  • Clear communication skills-able to train teammates, write documentation, and influence adoption across a service organization.

  • Nice to have: prior agency experience; experience integrating automations directly into ad platforms or analytics/reporting stacks.
