Job description

Why This Role Matters:
The Legal Assistant will provide support to members of the company's Law and Compliance teams.
How You'll Contribute:
  • Provide general administrative support to lawyers, paralegals and Compliance personnel, including assistance with correspondence, research, regulatory filings, regulatory examinations, and travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and process expense reports for department leadership
  • Process department mail (i.e. organization, distribution, etc.)
  • Organize and arrange department and board luncheons, dinners, catering
  • Process vendor invoices for payment using company systems such as Serengeti Tracker and Oracle Fusion software
  • Provide administrative planning and oversight for various subject matter functions

What We're Looking For:
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 2+ years of prior administrative assistant experience is preferred
  • Current active Notary, or willingness to obtain one after hire
  • Prior legal experience in a law firm or corporate law department is preferred.
  • Experience in highly regulated environments (e.g., insurance, financial services, health care) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing priorities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Understands the importance of deadlines and discretion in dealing with issues of a sensitive and confidential nature.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Adobe.
