Corporate Legal Assistant 

Prestigious National Law Firm is seeking a Legal Assistant with corporate transactional experience for their Miami office. 

Legal Assistant Job Description

  • Format, type and proof complex legal documents using redlining applications
  • Manage internal and client deadlines
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, minutes of meetings and other legal documents from written, oral and dictated sources
  • Maintain and properly close and/or purge files; scan and file Firm and Client correspondence and legal documents into I-Manage
  • Prepare new business records, engagement letters
  • Input and edit attorney's time and review pre-bills
  • Schedule meetings and make travel arrangements
  • Answer telephone, distribute messages; set up conference calls; send and receive emails and faxes; resolve issues as needed; open, sort and distribute mail
  • Reconcile expense reimbursements; process check and petty cash requests

Legal Assistant Requirements 

  • Minimum of 3 years of legal secretarial experience in Corporate Law
  • Must have excellent proofreading, document formatting and redlining skills
  • Must pay close attention to detail and be extremely organized
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High degree of initiative and ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
  • Flexibility to work overtime
  • Microsoft Office 2016 knowledge with Excel, Outlook and advance knowledge of Word functions
  • Familiarity with using an electronic document management system, such as I-Manage
