Job Title: Legal Assistant
Duration: 1 year
Work Schedule: 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. CT, Monday-Friday
Hybrid schedule: in office Monday-Thursday; work from home on Fridays.
Location: Houston, TX
This opportunity offers the chance to provide high-level administrative and litigation support within a fast-paced legal operations environment. The role sits in a hybrid setting, supporting legal professionals with document preparation, reporting, travel coordination, matter management, and legal systems including TeamConnect, iManage, Microsoft Office, and Power BI. This position is well suited to candidates who bring strong judgement, confidentiality, organisation, and the ability to manage competing priorities to a consistently high standard.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum of five years of legal administrative experience.
  • Experience providing support in a litigation or legal operations environment.
  • Proven experience drafting, formatting, and revising legal documents to tight deadlines.
  • Experience handling high-volume data entry and matter updates.
  • Experience coordinating complex domestic and international travel arrangements and preparing detailed expense reports.
Required Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Outlook, Forms, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel.
  • Ability to prepare recurring reports and presentations using Power BI, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Advanced document editing skills, including use of track changes in Microsoft Word.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of an organisation.
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask, meet deadlines, and follow through on commitments.
